The Sixth International Fair of Fruit Growing, Vegetable Growing, and Viticulture, Agro Belgrade 2025, was held at the Belgrade Fair from January 30 to February 1. This year, Agro Belgrade confirmed its position as the leading fair and conference event in the region, serving as a hub for business opportunities, knowledge acquisition, and the connection of producers of fresh, frozen, and processed fruits, vegetables, and grapes, buyers, and representatives of retail chains. It also connected manufacturers of agricultural machinery and equipment, nurseries, seed and chemical houses, and other companies and experts from the industry.

The Minister of Agriculture, Aleksandar Martinović, expressed optimism regarding the domestic agricultural sector’s prospects on the European and global markets. Before the opening of the fair, Martinović stated that by joining forces, we could achieve significant success. “This fair represents an excellent opportunity for domestic producers to showcase the full potential of their machinery and products. I believe this event will contribute to the sales and expansion of our brands in foreign markets,” said Martinović. The minister expressed his hope that 2025 would be even better and more successful in terms of exports and innovations in agriculture. Martinović also emphasized the importance of modernizing agricultural production and implementing new technologies to increase efficiency and competitiveness of Serbian agriculture. “Together, we can take significant steps forward and establish ourselves as leaders in the food market. I want this fair to be a symbol of our joint success and opening up to new markets,” concluded the minister, expressing hope that the fair participants would take full advantage of the opportunities offered.

As in previous years, the opening ceremony and tour of the exhibition stands were attended by prominent agriculture ministers from the region. Among them were Goran Bursać, assistant minister of agriculture, forestry, and water management of the Republic of Srpska; Savo Pavičić, representative of the city of Belgrade; and Vladimir Joković, minister of agriculture, forestry, and water management of the Republic of Montenegro.

For the sixth consecutive year, the fair successfully attracts interest from participants both domestically and internationally, enhancing the understanding of the fruit and vegetable industry’s potential in Serbia and the region.

Throughout the three days of the fair, Hall 1a hosted a rich conference program with topics crucial for the industry, such as an overview of the fruit and vegetable market, market and marketing challenges and opportunities in the fruit and vegetable sector, models of financing agriculture, and the digitalization and application of marketing in agriculture. These topics were addressed by domestic and international experts and representatives of companies, institutions, and organizations relevant to the fields of fruit growing, vegetable growing, and viticulture.
